I'm lucky enough that I live in an apartment in New York City that provides enough room for my own workspace. Most of my blogging and late-night photo-editing is done at my cozy IKEA desk. I found my desk chair on Amazon, it was one of the sturdy styles that was both pretty and budget-friendly. My 9-by-12 inch sketchbook doubles as a mousepad and a place to jot down my ideas, doodles, and to-do lists. My Moleskine sketchbook is what I take around everywhere and use as a journal and personal travel diary.
I try to keep a working mood board above my desk to help keep me inspired. I've been drawn to pastel colors (if you can't already tell by my recent Instagram gallery), watercolor artwork, and thick, hand-brushed typographic prints as of late. I try to update the wall as much as possible--almost like a living inspiration board--but that's only if I find the time. And I guess it seems that travel-inspired blues and photographs of the ocean are always top of mind and find their way into my all that I do.
As most of my friends know, I'm quite obsessed with pens. My favorite brands are Pilot Uni-ball Signo (0.38), Muji (0.5), and Sakura Souffle. I spend a lot of my time in new places/countries checking out their stationary stores to see any local brands, new types of pens, or product offerings. I can tell you exactly where and when I bought each and every pen! You can easily tell pink is my favorite color, I love collecting each shade/tint/hue!
What are your workspaces like? I would love to hear about how you set everything up to be conducive to getting stuff done!
