Last fall I had the happy chance to go to Paris for my birthday. It was my second time in the city and it was even more magical and beautiful than the first time around. There were so many charming nooks and crannies to explore, but I still returned to my favorite popular haunts. Regardless of claims of it being overhyped and how cliche this may sound, Paris will always be a place of wonder and art for me. You can feel the creative energy sparkle and fill the air, it's hard not to soak it up!
Montmartre & the Notre Dame are perfect places for aerial views. Montmartre is such a romantic place, and despite the crowds, it feels so free being in the open air and feeling much closer to the sky--a short escape from the busy Parisian city life. As for the Notre, I arrived too late in the afternoon to make it to the top, but thankfully the view from below is just as amazing as the view from the top.
