August in New York was a great transitional month. Most of the days weren't too horribly hot, but I definitely did have vacation withdrawals the whole time. I went back to the beach four times (Fire Island, Jersey Shore and Long Beach), and I will be trying to hit up more beaches through the fall and winter too. Here are some of the random things I've been enjoying the past month!
MAC RUSSIAN RED MATTE LIPSTICK I've always been convinced that lipstick was not for me. Especially not bright red lipsticks, I would only venture to the subtle pink kind. Recently, my Australian friend who came to intern in New York got me to try her matte red lipstick in the perfect shade and I immediately went out to buy it the next day. I love the bright pop of color, it looks good on everyone, and it definitely stays on all night.
NIKE AIR MAX THEA I love how lightweight and stylish these sneakers are. I take them when I travel as my running shoes and to pair with cute outfits. They're super comfortable, but also go with pretty much everything, so I can take 1-2 pairs of shoes out of my luggage!
SOCIAL PRINT STUDIO My friend got me a giftcard to this place as a present because she knew how much I loved photos. I loved the variety of products you can have created with your photographs, and it integrates really well with Instagram. I had these magnets printed out and can't wait until their 2016 calendar product is available so I can print out my own Instagram photos for all 365 days! It also makes for a great present for a friend as well.
AMAZON APPLE CABLE It's really easy for me to lose my cables since I'm always on the road and checking in and out of hotel rooms. I think the original Apple cables are ridiculously overpriced, especially considering how fast they can wear and tear. I love this Amazon one that works just as well--I've had it for months and it is excellent quality. I'm usually really wary of off-brand cables, but there are thousands of good reviews, and my friends who suggested it to me have had them for years and had great results. I love my extra long one, it's super convenient.
PARK & CUBE I've loved her blog for a while now, so I was really happy to see that she won this year's Best Photography at the Bloglovin' awards! She really deserved that award since she has stellar photography, and kickass blog layout and design! You can tell she was really a designer from the start because her blog posts pretty much look like high quality magazine layouts. I love her Instagram, and also check out some of my favorite posts here and here.
