I started off February in San Francisco and ended it in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The days in between were spent home in New York, mainly confused at the weather fluctuations that caused one day to be 70 degrees and 40 degrees the next. I also discovered pretty cool stuff this month, take a look below!
FLIGHT 001 TOILETRIES BAG I found this brand when I stumbled into their store in West Village in NYC. I love how it's compact and well made, while still being affordable. I also try to get toiletries bags that are waterproof to minimize any damage from potential spills. The best part about the bag is that it's transparent, which makes it easy for me to see what I've packed and what might be missing.
DRIFT I first discovered this coffee-themed magazine last year at a coffee shop. I spent the morning reading through the Volume 1, which focused on in New York. I was amazed at the high quality print, photography, and articles that were all about coffee. It put together so many things I loved. Unfortunately the first two volumes (New York and Tokyo) are sold out before I got to purchase them, but I nabbed this Havana one that has great content on coffee in Cuba. The matte print and design quality are phenomenal.
UE BOOM 2 My friend brought this on our trip to Puerto Rico and I was instantly amazed. The sound quality is amazing for a portable speaker. We woke up to soft, soothing music, then later hiked and beached it up to booming, upbeat tracks. It's perfect for travel since its pretty light, portable, and waterproof. You can even use it as your speakers at home because of the high sound quality. I'm trying to convince my friend to sell it to me at a discount, but I might just have to snatch one up soon for myself (thinking of getting the white).
THIS WEEK IN STARTUPS I started listening to this podcast about a year ago, but I just recently got into it again. This is one of the ways I keep up with news on tech startups. I love Jason's trademark blunt and funny style, it's unique from all the other podcasts out there. He does great interviews with founders, investors, and journalists. My favorite episodes are the news roundups.
