I started March off by returning back from Puerto Rican paradise to New York's unforgiving, cold weather. Then spring finally arrived and it couldn't decide whether to stay or not. The weather fluctuated between snow, sunny 70's, and windy 40's. Around mid-March, I traveled to London for several days to visit Mattia, who's now working there. We also spent an awesome weekend in Lyon, France celebrating his graduation with friends and family (lots & lots of champagne was involved). In March I focused on maintaining the healthy habits I had kicked off in February all while traveling (healthy eating, exercise, and keeping up with the blog, podcasts, beauty, etc.)
BLANKNYC LEATHER JACKET I love this BLANKNYC faux leather jacket. I've been looking for a good faux leather jacket for a long time, and this one was perfect: great fit and awesome quality (especially for the price!) I love that it's a moto jacket without being too biker, and it keeps its subtle, modern look because of the matte black buttons and zipper. A great leather jacket is also my favorite for travel style because of how versatile it can be!
BODY SHOP COCOA BUTTER I lost my hair serum and ran out of chapstick on my London trip, so I made a quick stop by the Body Shop. The lady recommended these two products and I instantly fell in love. The Coca Butter Lip Care Stick is one of the most yummy things I've ever smelled, it's like spreading creamy, chocolately goodness all over your lips. Unfortunately (or is it fortunately?), it doesn't taste anything like chocolate. The Cocoa Butter Beautifying Oil is great for your hair and your skin. I use it on my ends of my hair when my hair is still damp post-shower before I comb it (don't just too much and don't use it on your roots because it's pretty rich). I then apply it on my skin. It absorbs quickly and makes your skin very soft and glow! I love that it serves a dual purpose, an extra plus for when you're traveling and need to pack light.
BABY FOOT DEEP EXOFLIATION I got this for my roommate and me. We spent a Sunday evening soaking our feet in water, then in the Baby Foot peel while watching TV. It took about 10 days for my feet to show any signs of peeling, and once it did, all hell broke loose. The skin started peeling off in massive quantities and it was like my feet were reborn. I won't share pics so I don't gross anyone out, but it was extremely satisfying to see all my old skin & callouses peel off and reveal a new, soft skin underneath. And no, it did not hurt at all. If you do get this for yourself, be sure to soak your feet in warm water for at least 20 min before you use it, and then soak it daily afterwards for the maximum results!
CUNNING SINGLE LADY I realized that my Korean got a bit rusty recently, so I decided to start a Korean drama to brush up a little. This is by no means an intelligent TV series or anything, but I enjoyed watching it! It's about a young divorced lady who is trying to start her life over again. It's pretty hilarious and like most K-dramas out there, the storyline is really addicting. I'm not the biggest fan of how melodramatic K-dramas can be, but this show made me really nostalgic for all things Korea (namely the food, haha). I'm trying to plan my next trip there as soon as I can! I found it on YouTube.
