I'm writing this post from Reykjavik, Iceland. It's only 4PM and dark outside since they only get around 4 hours of sunlight at this time of year--the sun rises around 11AM and sets at 3:30PM. It's much warmer here in Iceland than it was in NYC when I left it (43°F in Iceland vs. 25°F in NYC).
I always love the first few snowfalls of the season in New York. It feels magical and sparkly, watching wisps of white fluff fall from the comfort of a warm bed, cozy in an electric blanket with a mug of hot chocolate in hand. Once you finally decide to put on a million layers and venture outside to Central Park, things become even more beautiful.
Central Park transforms into a winter wonderland for the first few hours in the morning after snowfall. This is right before all the people of New York and their dogs (and of course the Instagrammers including me!) storm the park and leave a slushy mess of dirt and ice behind.
I feel so lucky to be able to capture these beautiful Central Park moments.
