I started September off with a quick Labor Day weekend trip to Cape Cod. It was basically endless lobster, beach, and booze. I'm drooling as I think of all the lobster, oysters, clam chowder, and fries we devoured that weekend. September's temperature was mostly awesome, especially compared to previous years in New York where the weather dropped drastically way too fast. Here are the things that I have been enjoying this past month.
COMPEED BLISTER CUSHIONS These may be pricey but definitely worth it for the protection they provide. I feel like my feet increasingly find new ways to get weird aches and issues, so I don't really take chances with blisters anymore. I definitely use these when I'm breaking in new shoes (new flats are the worst!), and I also pop them on for soccer games. I like how it blends in with your skin, and how their ultra-stickiness prevents them from moving around, like normal Band-Aids do. I'm not particular about the brand, I also tried Band-Aid's blister prevention version and it works pretty well too.
BRANDY MELVILLE MIDI DRESS I've been looking for a comfy midi/maxi dress for a while and this one was perfect. It's hard to find one at a good length for me since I'm pretty short, and usually I'm engulfed in fabric. This one fell at the midi/maxi length on me (probably since on a taller person it would definitely be just midi length). I love the soft cotton fabric and how it's comfortable it is! I can wear this while lounging around at home, or even to brunch with a cute jacket and other accessories to jazz it up.
TECHEF STOVETOP GRILL Ever since Mattia came to visit, we've been spending a lot of time cooking and eating at home. We've also been eating Korean BBQ every chance we get, and I think on one weekend we ate it for four days straight. This pan has really upped our homemade BBQ game. It makes meat so much tastier, it fits on top of my standard gas stove, and it's non-stick so it helps the grilling and cleaning process. It probably works really well for other types of BBQ too, but I still have yet to try it out.
HEART FLOATIE I got this at the end of summer and I used it at every chance I got. It's super cute but still functional. It's awesome for pools and for the beach. I use it at the beach to float in the water as well as to lie on as a cushion on the sand. It's a comfortable size to blow up and deflate.
CAPTURE YOUR STYLE Song of Style is one of my favorite instagrams to follow, I love her fashion and aesthetic. The style photos in this book are amazing yet relatable, and I can't believe how most of them were taken with an iPhone. She gives great practical tips for improving your photography and instagame while still having fun.
