Apologies for the delay, but I've always believed in better late than never! My favorite season has come and gone. Perhaps that's why it's taken so long for me to finish this post, I'm still not fully accepting that it is now officially fall. Other than a few weeks in Europe (Italy and Croatia with Mattia), Canada (Rockies with the family!) and LA (visiting old friends), I've spent more time in NYC this summer than I have in the past years. A lot of my summer favorites transition well into fall as well, so enjoy!
Madina Highlighter This cult favorite highlighter sells out every Milan fashion week and I finally got my hands on it to see why. It's a beautiful, bright shimmer with intensity (that somehow still looks natural) and staying power. At 18 euros it's definitely the best bang-for-buck highlighter out there (I seriously think it's worth at least $35). I always know it's gonna be a good day when I glide this on my face.
Lavender Hair Conditioner This conditioner has saved my hair this whole summer. I was never born with great hair quality to begin with (prone to frizziness and split ends), and bleaching it blonde this summer definitely hasn't helped. My friend Joanne's hairdresser recommended this to us and it's the best thing I've done for my hair, no exaggeration. It feels so smooth and soft and shiny, this conditioner is MAGIC. I can't believe the price! It's under $25 for an enormous bottle that's lasted me 5+ months and still has a lot left to go.
Michael Kors Leather Backpack I've been on the hunt for the perfect leather backpack that can swing between the office and travel. It had to fit my laptop, DSLR, and a plethora of miscellaneous items. I can't tell you how exhausted I was to be constantly lopsided as I lugged my large heavy tote across airport terminals. I was so. damn. happy to find this backpack that solves all of that. I cram much more stuff in this and it feels so light hung on both shoulders. It works in the professional setting too! I'm happy to report that I don't look like a 10-year-old bringing a backpack to the office.
Bauble Bar bracelet set 1 and set 2 (on sale!) I love how these bracelets just scream TROPICAL VACATION. I look down at my wrist in the office and feel a bit better. Or, I feel sad because it reminds me of vacation while I'm stuck in the office. Either way, I like how this adds a fun pop of color to my outfits.
Keds white flat sneakers This is the most versatile pair of sneakers I've ever owned. It seriously looks good with anything--jeans, skirts, sundresses, more formal dresses, lululemon leggings, everything! It's so damn comfortable and is now my go-to pair for travel and even on a daily basis. I also love how it can make a more glam/formal outfit a lot more effortlessly casual. Pair it with these no-show socks that never slip off.
Ebates Like any other "millennial" lady out there, I looove online shopping. Ebates makes me feel slightly less bad about the addiction since I can get cash back on most purchases I make. They frequently have 2-8% (or more) cash back on my favorites like Nike, JCrew, Macy's, Forever21, and even Amazon. I get money back from shopping I was going to do anyway! I also suggest downloading the Ebates extension for you Chrome users out there, since a notification pop ups whenever you're on a website that has an Ebates deal. I'm gonna be relying on this a lot for my holiday shopping this year.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Scrubber There are just some stains and general icky things that don't come off with the old windex + scrubber methods. I got this to clean my bathtub and within a minute it got to a level of clean that I couldn't achieve with several minutes of intense windex + traditional bristle scrubbing. Now I can't live without this. Other than cleaning tubs, sinks, tiles, etc. it also helps my other paraphernalia stay insane clean: white rubber parts of shoes, white electronics, stove tops, stainless fridge, you name it.
Macbook Skin I've had this skin for several months and I always get compliments on it. I customized it from Caseapp. You can design your own macbook or phone case/skin and have a unique one that no one else has! The quality is on point and their customer service is awesome. This is an awesome Sweden-based company for if you have a high quality photo or print that you'd like to make into a phone or laptop skin. They also have their own designs (marble, leaves, animals, etc.) that you can choose from too!
